Jingwei Zhou, Group 1, Primary Source Summery

Organ Donation - Sign Up - YouTube
A middle aged man resolutely unplugged the pen cap and was going to sigh up at the bottom of a contract. However, he failed to write anything on the paper. He shaken the pen hardly and tried to write, but failed again. (It is a mute advertisement, which is not set in any background music, but we can clearly heard the sound of crunch.) He opened the pen and found core out of ink. Then he found another pen in drawer, in which there are some used stationaries, but the head of the pen is broken. Luckily, there is still some ink left in the core as he opened the pen. He skilled assembly the good-conditioned head of pen and the core with ink left. Finally, he seemed proudly and swiftly signed up on the contract. There are some words on the top of the contract "ORGAN DONATION FORM." According to the fade grey shirt the guy in and rough hands, he is probably a blue-collar class, as well as not in a wealthy condition.

It is funny sarcasm of a photographer, however it stresses the importance of a good camera.
On a exhibition of a maybe well-known photographer. When he showed his three works on the show, he was, respectively, asked by an old gentleman, an old lady and an young gentleman to explain some specifically technical questions about how he took so wonderful photos. (I could not listen the first one well, but luckily got other two records from other visitors)
When visitors were shown the second picture of a dog, which is exquisite. The gentleman asked "And the shutter speed?" Photographer answered in a obviously non-professional way "yeah! It was really quick, just a click." The young couple suspiciously frowned a second but politely showed agreement.
In the third picture of an inside view. an old lady asked "How did you compensate for the diminished light?" The photographer choked a little and mede up a extremely irrelevant answer "very well" Everybody in the exhibition was shocked by the answer and felt unbelievable!
The guy just ran away. Finally, there is an announcement of the ads shown on the screen " You do not to be a good photographer to take great photos."

  1. Both of these commercials make strong points about human society and its positive movements in the modern day era, but I fail to see how they connect to the topic of Sexuality in public. You did a fantastic job describing both commercials, but I don't think you could use either of them to do your English project. You did a good job on the assignment but you may want to consider choosing some other primary sources that have more of a relevance to the class theme for the quarter.

  2. I agree with Jack, these are two very good commercials with different things to analyze but none truly go on to relate to sexuality, try to find advertising that is aimed more towards the attraction of sexes

  3. I feel the same way. Good job of summarizing both of these commercials but just needs to relate to sexuality. Just find a good video of something about sexuality and do the same thing to summarize them.
